Being CTO of Gobi is an experience I can talk about forever. The field of technology is so broad and a challenge we face daily is how to ensure technology is at the forefront of what we do, but not just because it’s a nice to have. No Technology should solve problems. And that is the main aim of everything Gobi stands for.
Building on our core values of Why we do this everyday (truth, honesty and integrity) must be reflected even in our technology we use and implement.
Our new website is a point in case. It should not only be a nice to have but should enhance and promote our values. We took a hard look when planning the website to understand what would benefit our clients, what would help them.
The focus points we spent a lot of time on are:
- It should be EASY to use. On your phone, on your iPad or laptop where ever. The experience MUST be one of satisfaction for our clients. We tested thoroughly to ensure this experience for our visitors
- Tracking is the main reason people come to our website. Not only did we focus on making it as easy to track your shipment from every page on our website, we also ensured that the actual tracking us useful and easy to understand
- Contacting is also the other main reason people visit us. We ensured that the details of these contacts are available on first glance every where on the site and its easy for our visitors to contact us by a mean that suits them
Of course, making it look so good was up there as well! But that is a bonus!
